    Atal Tinkering Lab

Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) is an initiative by the Indian government’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) under the NITI Aayog. The goal of ATL is to foster curiosity, creativity, and innovation among young students and to inculcate skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and adaptive learning. These labs are set up in schools across India to encourage students from Classes 6 to 12 to work on real-world problems using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) concepts.

Here are some key points about Atal Tinkering Labs:
Hands-On Learning: ATL provides a work space where students can explore tools like 3D printers, robotics kits, and sensors to design and prototype solutions.
Innovation-Oriented: The labs focus on fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in students.
Curriculum Integration: ATL encourages a multidisciplinary approach, combining STEM with soft skills such as collaboration and leadership.
Mentorship and Guidance: ATL offers students access to mentors, including scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs, who guide them through various stages of their projects.
Competitions and Challenges: ATL organizes various challenges and innovation competitions to stimulate creative thinking and innovation among students.
Promoting Creativity: ATL aims to nurture the “maker” culture in young minds by encouraging them to develop their own technological solutions to societal challenges.
